Auditions for The Little Mermaid

The Branson Regional Arts Council is holding open auditions for their February 2022 live musical theatre production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid on December 16, 17 and 18, 2021 at the Historic Owen Theatre.

  • When: Thursday, Dec 16, Friday Dec 17, & Saturday Dec 18, 2021
  • Where: Historic Owen Theatre, 205 S. Commercial St., Branson, MO 65616
  • Time: 5:00 – 10:00 PM (sign up for a one-hour slot here)
  • What to Bring: 60 Second Singing Audition in the musical style of the show. Bring your own tracks (on your phone or player).
  • Also Bring: Printed headshot (if you have one) & Acting Resume (if you have one).
  • Clothing for Audition: Bring comfortable shoes you can dance in as well as a change of clothes you can move and dance in.
  • Dance Requirements: Jazz, Contemporary, Partnering and Tap

Scheduled auditions will be held in groups of ten per hour, with a dance call run through during the last 15 mins of each group.

The Sound of Music

All Ages | The Branson Regional Arts Council proudly presents The Sound of Music. This Rodgers & Hammerstein classic is the world’s most beloved musical. High-spirited Maria is dispatched to serve as governess for seven children of a widowed naval Captain. 2021 Annual BRAC Member Meeting

ANNUAL MEMBER MEETING AT THE HISTORIC OWEN THEATRE

The 2021 Annual Member Meeting will take place on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 6:00pm until 6:30pm at the Historic Owen Theatre, and will provide an opportunity for elections of new board of directors as well announcements regarding several new, exciting events and theatrical performances slated for 2022.

Anyone wishing to stay after the meeting to attend a performance of Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 The Musical is asked to purchase their tickets in advance by calling the box office at 417-336-4255 or online at BransonArts.org/tix.

New Artist Reception – Branson Convention Center

The general public is invited to attend a New Artist Reception at the Branson Convention Center Art Gallery on the 2nd Level Concourse in Downtown Branson.
This FREE Community Arts Event will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 7-8pm.
This will be an evening of incredible artistry, as we introduce several new artists joining the Art Gallery Exhibition.
Several of the featured artists will be attending the reception to discuss their work, and members of the Branson Regional Arts Council Board will be there to answer any questions.
Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be available as well.
Bring yourself, or a group of friends and enjoy this FREE community event!

Five Star Talent Competition Semi-Finals

The Five Star Talent Contest, presented by Ozarks Dynacom, is designed to encourage the region’s top talent to let their light shine and invite area residents and visitors to discover the amazing talent of the Ozarks.
This is the first of two Semi-Final Competitions. A distinguished panel of judges will be on hand at the live, semifinal shows in Branson, MO and Harrison, AR to determine the final selections to move on to the final competition.
The Arts Councils’ will receive all ticket proceeds from the live, Semi-Final Shows held at the Historic Owen Theatre and Historic Lyric Theatre respectively, and also share in the proceeds of the Final Championship Show.
