The Branson Regional Arts Council Theatre Conservatory Program is excited to offer SIX WEEK ADULT ACTING CLASSES for ages 18+
Track 1 Instructor bio: Justin Ables has worked as a professional actor, director, and educator for the past 15 years – and is beyond excited to be returning to the classroom for our Musical Theatre Auditions class! Favorite Regional Credits include: Samuel in “David” (Sight and Sound Theatres), Hegai in “Queen Esther” (Sight and Sound Theatres), Tevye in “Fiddler on the Roof” (Woodstock Playhouse), Porthos in “The Three Musketeers” (Woodstock Playhouse), King Herod in “Jesus Christ Superstar” (Woodstock Playhouse), Macbeth in “Macbeth” (Shakesperience Productions), Donny McGreggor/Others in “Bigfoot and Other Lost Souls” (Atlantic Stage).
Justin’s BRAC Directing Credits include: “The Prince of Egypt”, “Little Women”, “Into the Woods”, “The Tempest”, “The Glass Menagerie”, “Hamlet”, and more! He holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Coastal Carolina University.
Track 1 Class Description: Auditions are tough, but let’s make them enjoyable! In this Musical Theatre Audition class students will learn not only how to feel prepared in an audition room, but how to shine their very best onstage with the talents they were given. Throughout this course, we will go over where/how to find songs & monologues, how to make audition cuts, how to build an audition book, what to put on a resume, and much more!
Track 2 Instructor bio: Josh Boulden is a professional actor, acting coach, and Fight Director from Annapolis, MD. He trained at the Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Academy at The George Washington University in D.C. and has been working in the industry for over 10 years in both classical plays and musicals. He currently serves as the Fight Director for Sight & Sound Theatres in Branson, MO and is blessed to be in his eighth season as an actor with the company. You can see him in this season’s DAVID. Josh has performed in over a dozen Shakespeare plays and audio dramas, currently directs Shakespeare for Schools with the Branson Regional Arts Council, and serves as a voice and speech coach with the Institute for Cultural Communicators.
Track 2 – Advanced Classical Acting – Description
Using scenes from Shakepeares’ canon students will explore classical acting technique while honing the skills needed to tackle the demands of acting in today’s theatre. Additional topics include: scene study, text analysis, partnering, Lessac voice technique, and Alexander technique. Previous acting training and experience strongly recommended.

Classes begin Monday, June 1st and occur every Monday for SIX weeks of acting classes with your instructor, Justin Ables.

90 MIN CLASSES – $155 per student (Early Bird Registration $130 before May 18th) All fees included in prices.
