At the Branson Regional Arts Council, we know that strong arts organizations are built on more than creativity alone — they are sustained by people who are willing to give their time, talents, and heart to the community. That’s why we are grateful for the work of GIVE 5, an organization dedicated to connecting experience with purpose.

Serving Taney and Stone Counties, GIVE 5 is a unique civic‑matchmaking program that introduces retired and nearly retired adults to meaningful volunteer opportunities with local nonprofit organizations. Through guided classes, nonprofit site visits, and thoughtful conversation, participants gain a behind‑the‑scenes look at the needs of our community and the many organizations working to meet them.

What makes GIVE 5 especially impactful is its intentional approach. Participants are not simply asked to volunteer — they are given the opportunity to explore where their skills, interests, and life experience can make the greatest difference. Graduates of the program are encouraged to “give five” hours per month, and many go on to serve far beyond that initial commitment, becoming long‑term volunteers, advocates, and community leaders.

For organizations like the Branson Regional Arts Council, this kind of thoughtful volunteer engagement is invaluable. The arts thrive when passionate, informed community members step forward to support performances, exhibitions, education programs, and behind‑the‑scenes operations.
