Ebenezer Scrooge and his ghostly encounters come to life in a lavish and thrilling Broadway musical adaptation of A Christmas Carol, The Musical. Presented for the first time in Branson, this version of the holiday classic runs for 8 performances at the Historic Owen Theatre, December 5-15th.
The Branson Regional Arts Council is excited to present this spectacular adaptation of Charles Dickens’ most well-known story, featuring an impressive music score by Broadway heavy hitters Alan Mencken (Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Little Shop of Horrors) and Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime, Seussical, Once on This Island).
In this classic tale, a prosperous curmudgeon, Ebenezer Scrooge, believes that personal wealth is far more valuable than the happiness and comfort of others. With an infuriated “Bah! Humbug!” Scrooge summates his feelings of Christmas tidings and charitable giving, but he’s forced to face his selfish ways when three ghosts on Christmas Eve lead him through his Past, Present and Future. Thanks to their guidance, Scrooge recognizes his faults and greets Christmas morning with a cheerful “Happy Christmas” before spending the day reconnecting and sharing love with those that mean the most to him.
The cast of A Christmas Carol include: Michael David LaGue (Scrooge), Charlee Mitchell (Tiny Tim – child), Sean Neil Myers (Mr. Fezziwig / Beadle / Charity Man), Alex Harris (Mr Smythe / Scrooge’s Father / Old Joe / Ghost Dancer / Dancer / Ensemble), Jack Cathcart (Mr. Cratchit / Ensemble), Lundyn Mitchell (Grace Smythe / Caroler / Fan / Ensemble), Aaron Williams (Young Marley / Charity Man / Poulterer / Mr. Hawkins / Fishmonger / Ensemble), Tanner McGowan (Ghost Of Christmas Past / Lamplighter / Dancer / Ensemble), Brendon Boyd Dalton (Ghost Of Christmas Present /Sandwichboard Man / Dancer / Undertaker / Ensemble), Chrystal Blair (Ghost Of Christmas Future / Blind Old Hag / Ensemble), Liya Rivere (Martha / Ghost Dancer / Dancer / Monk), Julie Brinkman (Mrs. Cratchit / Scrooge’s Mom / Charwoman / Dancer), Evan Sanders (Fred / Dancer / Ensemble), Pace Gilman (Jonathan / Chratchit Child / Ghost Dancer / Dancer), Mac Hill (Marley / Banker / Ensemble), Mindy Law (Mrs. Mops / Rich Woman / Fred’s Guest), Jacob Estes (Judge Voiceover), Liam Hill (Child Scrooge / Ignorance / Boy Worker / Ensemble), Hallie Groff (Fred’s Daughter / Dancer / Ensemble), Jacob Deck (Young Scrooge / Charity Man / Banker / Ghost Dancer / Undertaker / Feature Ensemble), Sarah Williams (Mrs. Fezziwig / Caroler / Ensemble), Taylor Haverstick (Emily / Sally / Ghost Dancer / Caroler / Rich Woman / Dancer), Megan Rodgers (Rich Woman / Ghost Dancer / Dancer / Ensemble), Somer Dean (Rich Woman / Ghost Dancer / Dancer / Monk / Ensemble) and Brenna Bergeron (Rich Woman / Ghost Dancer / Dancer / Monk / Ensemble).
