The Branson Regional Arts Council is pleased to announce that Lloyd Alexander-Holt has accepted the position of Director of Vocal Studies for a new BRAC Music and Performing Arts Conservatory program, now in development.

Lloyd directed and performed in the recent BRAC production of Annie (playing Oliver Warbucks), and is currently directing the musical Anything Goes. He joined the Educational Faculty of the Branson Regional Arts Council in 2018 and is the official Director of Vocal Studies. He teaches applied private voice for musical theatre and vocal performance students. Additionally, he serves as the Arts Council’s Vocal Pedagogy Professional, and as the Voice Department Director for the educational performance Youth Troupe Theatre programs.

As a Master Vocal Pedagogue, diagnostician, and voice rehabilitator, Lloyd is dedicated to teaching voice by providing a solid, sustainable technique that allows flexibility and the ability to sing throughout any genre. As a result, his students have been accepted into some of the most prestigious collegiate Voice and Musical Theatre programs in the United States. Recent students have gone on to study professionally at Oberlin, Stanford, The Manhattan School of Music, Texas State University, Oklahoma City University, and The Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

Lloyd has completed Graduate Studies in Vocal Pedagogy and Music Theatre Performance, and has studied with world renowned Metropolitan Opera Tenor, Raymond Gibbs. In addition to being one of the Midwest’s most sought after voice teachers, he is also in demand as a clinician, adjudicator, and lecturer. He teaches Masterclasses in vocal health, Music Theatre Audition Technique, and voice repertoire throughout the United States.

He is a former faculty member of Tulsa Project Theatre, Springfield Little Theatre, and has maintained a private voice studio in Branson and Springfield for 10 years.

The Branson Regional Arts Council invites the public to attend a FREE Community Event, this Friday (April 13th) from 7-9pm at the Branson Convention Center Art Gallery on the 2nd level concourse. 

Join in celebration of 12 area artists, featuring dozens of new works now on display at the gallery. Featured artists include: Kwaku Addai, Glenda Roberson, Jane Parker, Galina Nikiforova Foulconer, Raine Clotfelter, Jim Tindall, Mary Arneson, Dee Giles, Marty Goodnight, Alpha Morrow, Thia Schuler, and Meadows Images.

The Branson Convention Center Gallery is about to begin it’s 3rd season and has been visited by approximately 100,000 people annually, according to General Manager Marc Mulherin. Several of the current featured artists will be attending the reception to discuss their work, and members of the Branson Regional Arts Council Board will be there to answer any questions. Refreshments will be available as well.
